Reconciliation and Eucharist

Confessions are held in the Church Tuesdays after 8:30 am Mass and Saturdays from 2:30-3:30 pm.

Children who are seven years or older are ready to begin preparing for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist. Immediate preparation presumes that children have already had a year of familiarity with the Catholic faith (attending Mass with parents, knowledge of basic concepts of faith). To register for these Sacraments as member of St. Paul Catholic Church you must:

  1. Attend at least one year of faith formation (Year 1) immediately prior to the year of preparation (Year 2) with good attendance. (The Year 1 prerequisite can take place in either a parish-based faith formation program or at a Catholic school.)

  2. Present a copy of the child’s Baptismal certificate, if they were not baptized here at St. Paul’s.

  3. Faithfully participate in Mass on all Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation.

  4. During the year of Sacrament Prep (Year 2), participate with good attendance in both the Monday sacrament prep classes and a regular Faith Formation program (either parish-based or in Catholic school).

Adults who have not received the Sacrament of the Eucharist must first complete the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA).
